Food Review-Indian Food in the Heart of Jakarta-Komala's

What were we thinking when we stepped in this Indian  restaurant when we were literally surrounded by Bakso stalls, nasi padang restaurant and all other choices of Indonesian foods around us?One would ponder, but i can easily explain this was due to "nasi padang overload" caused by that hearty lunch in Rumah Makan Garuda. In addition, we were also looking for a place to hang-out which is still open after 10pm and (apart from the usually crowded Starbucks) we found this place.(my friend suggested this place because he saw a hunky arab man sitting outside this restaurant-well that is another story.. :)  )

Komala's is basically an Indian restaurant serving vegetarian foods. Its branch in Jakarta is located in Sarinah Shopping Mall in Thamrin area, near to the famous hot-spot Jalan Jaksa. I believe this restaurant originated from Singapore. The menu is extensive as you can see below. We only settled for some hot beverages and sizzling brownies-topped with vanilla ice-cream..yummy. I must note that the cappucino was good..not overly sweet...but still..Saile & Sabga is the best!

Hope to sample more of its foods offering on my next trip to Jakarta.
